In 2024, EHF, in cooperation with TWIN, launched a new digital initiative, the “Ambassador Sessions,” closely linked with the innovative Respect Your Talent App.

The Ambassador Sessions are virtual Q&A events connecting world’s handball stars with promising young players. These live online events encourage participants to engage openly and ask personal questions on topics like Mental Fitness, Dual Career, Media, Sports Law, Anti-Doping, and Nutrition.

Supported by an expert in each area, up to 15 young athletes per session have the chance to discuss and reflect on challenges both on and off the court with their sporting idols. Past sessions have featured top players such as Dominik Klein (Germany), Vid Kavtičnik (Slovenia), Andrea Lekic (Serbia), Carlos Prieto (Spain), Kari Aalvik Grimsbø (Norway), Luka Stepančić, or Jelena Grubisic (each Croatia).

Media insights from a handball great

The most recent session was hosted by TWIN Founder & CEO Wolfgang Stockinger and featured 2024 Champions League winner Ana Gros (Slovenia) alongside communications expert Simona Margetić. Focused on the theme of Media, young athletes from countries such as France, North Macedonia, Germany, Greece, and Egypt joined the conversation.

“The sessions are very helpful. They help me understand the experiences I have are very much common amongst athletes, while also showing me ways to deal with my feelings.”
